PAENGAROA-TE PUKE RACING CLUB
1931
The following is taken from the Bay of Plenty Times of Saturday 31 January 1931.
The annual meeting of the Paengaroa-Te Puke Racing Club was held at Te Puke on the 23rd inst. Mr Innes VERCOE (President) in the chair.
New Members:
Messrs M STEWART, N GRAFAS, L BOOKER and F E GEMMING were elected members of the Club.
Balance Sheet:
The balance sheet, which showed a very satisfactory state of affairs was presented by the Secretary and was unanimously adopted.

Date of Race Meeting:
The matter of holding the race meeting on Monday March 23rd, came up for discussion.
Members thought that as Tauranga was holding its meeting on Saturday March 21, and
Opotiki on Thursday March 26, it would be advisable to hold the local meeting on the
Monday March 23. It was resolved that nominations close on March 18 and acceptances
on March 21. The proposal that a trotting event be included in the programme was
considered, and after discussion it was decided to adhere to last years programme and to
add a saddle trot event ( 1½ miles) for a stake of £15.
