SHARP, Pte T, who was previously employed as a porter on the Gore staff of the Railway Dept and who was proceeding to join the Trentham Rifle Brigade, fell under the north-bound express on Monday at Pukerau, 8 miles north of Gore and was killed. His mother resides in Tasmania.

Four men were leaning out of a window at the time and were struck by the arm of the tablet-exchanger which had failed to work.
