BECKMAN, Captain A, NZ Engineers, killed whilst taking part in a demonstration of bomb throwing and trench fighting at Trentham. Lieut BALE, late Warrant Officer, Royal Engineers, was injured. Capt Beckman leaves a wife who is at present very ill and 3 children, the eldest daughter being 20 years of age.
