The memorial is semicircular wall with 6 bronze plaques. The 3 on the left are for the 1914-18 War and those on the right for the 1939-45 War. The names are arranged under subheadings for the area they came from. In front of the wall is a large block with a statue on top. The memorial is across the road from the RSA on Matthews Avenue, Kaitaia.
