(LOWER) TE MATAI (ROAD) SCHOOL, TE PUKE
CLASS LIST
AS AT 03 DECEMBER 1926
Te Matai School was opened in September 1902 under the Auckland Education Board. It is not to be confused with Te Matai Native School which was operated by the Native Education Board and opened in 1887.
Unfortunately the school rolls do not exist. This is a class list from the Inspector's report for the 3 December 1926. Due to falling rolls the school was closed during 1928 and the district's children were bused to the Te Puke District High School by Angus Barrow.
